Sorry for not updating the web pages, I am pretty busy at the moment.
In April I got a new job and moved to Mainz. The new job keeps me occupied,
so there are not much updates to be expected, sorry.

As you may have noticed, there have been no updates in the news section for more than
a year. Sorry 'bout that, I just do not have the time to do updates regularly, maybe
it will get better this year, so bear with me ;-)

[News] Server is being rebuilt

After a long downtime due to a defect motherboard, I am in the process of rebuilding
the server. Unfortunately, It will take some time until all services are up
again.

The news postings above are only the three most recent postings,
so the page is not too cluttered. To see more follow the link under
the last posting.
Maybe some people are interested what I am planning to
do next for this web site. First, I need to come up with a new
method to create the news section. Eventually, I will use
mysql and some script patchwork for this, but I still like the
flat file approach I am using now: I have a news.rc file in
apache-config-file-format that gets parsed by a perl script
using Config::General.pm. This works pretty well and generates
the news section on the fly by way of inclusion via SSI. Okay,
admittedly this only works for the small amount of traffic I
currently have. Maybe I will change the layout again, but
we'll see.
The next project will be to create a web site for C.O.M.A., the Circle Of
Martial Arts. This will need some major effort, since the new
job will eat up most of my ressources, I guess.
